The ideal candidate for this position will be comfortable with children with the flexibility to adapt to the family's needs. Must have dependable transportation, clean driving record, and be able to pass state and federal background checks including periodic drug testing. Candidate must be able to arrive at 6am to assist with morning routine. You must be youthful and active, with energy to run up and down many stairs in the home.



  • Weekly on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 6am-12pm


  • Communicate with children using developmentally and age appropriate methods.
  • Act on constructive feedback provided by home owner/parent.

Morning Routine Task

  • Assist with getting children dressed and ready to leave for school, including breakfast.
  • Assist with packing of school lunches and organizing of backpacks.
  • Assist with other morning routine task as needed.
  • Available to drive children to school if needed.

Housekeeping Task

  • Perform general and heavy cleaning both inside and outside the home.
  • Deep cleaning will be required with a room by room weekly rotation approach.
  • Laundry to include ironing school uniforms and organizing school outfits for next day morning routine.
  • Clean kitchen to include dishes, counter tops, sink, appliances, microwave, range hood, cabinet fronts and floors.
  • Bathrooms including tile, tubs, showers, shower doors, vanities, sink, mirrors, toilets, and floors.
  • Clean and organize children's sleeping areas to include putting away laundry, dusting flat surfaces, lamp shades, picture frames, ceiling fans, window sills, blinds and floors.
  • Clean living areas to include dusting knickknacks, lamps hades, picture frames, all flat surfaces, ceiling fans, remove cobwebs, window sills, blinds and floors.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum all floors and stair cases.
  • Clean windows, inside and out, clean blinds, clean door frames, moldings and baseboards.
  • Other cleaning and organizational task as requested.
  • Possible cooking of a meal a couple times a week.
  • Possible grocery shopping as needed.


  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must be either a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident alien of the United States.
  • Must pass mandatory background checks, DMV and drug testing.
  • Speak, read, and write English fluently.
  • Ability to be patient and empathetic with children of different ages.
  • Strong capacity to be flexible and adaptable to varied circumstances and personalities within the family.
  • Willingness to accept and incorporate constructive feedback from home owner/parent.
  • Strong personal standards of excellence, ethics and integrity.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
